PAMBULA-MERIMBULA LIONS YOUTH OF THE YEAR 2024
On the 24th of February our club held the local Youth of The Year competition open to Senior School Students within our area.
The Lions Youth of the Year Program is managed and supported by Lions Australia and run by Lions Clubs in each of the 19 Districts in close collaboration with, and supported by, participating schools.
The event was held at Club Sapphire Merimbula. Thank you to the club for supporting Pambula-Merimbula Lions Club through providing the venue and catering.
The Youth of the Year program looks for students who are contributors to their schools and their communities and, ultimately selects an outstanding individual to be an ambassador for the Lions Youth of the Year Program and Lions Clubs International
A big thank you goes out to our three judges Veronica, Margaret, and Graham. It was not an easy task. We are grateful for your professionalism.
This year we are very excited to announce Imogen Bichard from Lumin Christi Catholic College as winner of the public speaking section and Samuel Banks also from Lumin Christi Catholic College as the overall winner at local level.
Samuel will now go on to compete at District Level in Canberra on March 16th. If Samuel is successful at District Level, he will go on to compete at Nationals. We wish Samuel all the best.
