A project instigated by our Lions District N2 and delivered by Pambula-Merimbula Lions, was the development of two Lions Tool Libraries. Through the support of Lions Australia, Minderoo Foundation and Pambula Mitre 10, the tool libraries are a containerised rapid response facility that provides communities impacted by disasters with the tools and equipment to assist them rebuilding their lives. The libraries include shovels, post hole diggers, wheelbarrows, chainsaws, hand tools, power tools, generator, fencing equipment and so much more.
In recent times the Tool Libraries have been rolled out to Womboyn, Kiah, Bermagui, and one now located in the Canberra area for quick deployment as needed in that region.
